A well-functioning school inspection programme helps to ensure that schools provide a high quality of education to children. However, we know that school inspections alone are not enough. School improvement plans are essential in driving programmes in schools to improve the quality of teaching and learning.

Reach to Teach is working closely with the Department of Education on the redesign of its school accreditation programme, Gunotsav 2.0. The accreditation framework will set the standards against which schools across the state will be evaluated and supported to make progress between inspections.

Drawing on international best practice, we have supported the launch of an improved school inspection model and will co-design a school improvement plan programme for implementation across all schools in the state.
